The letterpress series is an ongoing Tiny Showcase project featuring artwork by our favorite silkscreen artists, poster designers, and multi-layered color separation masters. Each piece from the letterpress collection is an original design that was created for the project and hand-printed in limited quantities. Providence letterpress artist Dan Wood of DWRI Letterpress created and hand-pressed each layer of this print into Cartiere Magnani's 260gsm Arturo archival paper.
Alec has chosen the Artist's Walk-In Clinic at Rhode Island Free Clinic as this artwork's charity. On the first Tuesday of every month, from 1:00 pm. to 4:00 pm., artists who have no health insurance can be seen on a walk-in basis at Rhode Island Free Clinic. The artist?s clinic is a first stop for free medical diagnosis and treatment of basic and chronic health problems. Registered nurse practitioners and nurse practitioner students provide the initial care and refer patients to the appropriate clinic and medical provider for a wide range of no or low-cost follow-up care and specialty services. $250 dollars from the sale of this artwork will be donated to the organization.
