Mikoojin is a limited edition of 100 prints by Amanda Sciullo. The print measures 14” tall by 10.5 inches wide” and the artwork measures approximately 13” high by 9.5” wide. The archival prints were created by Tiny Showcase and ship with corresponding certificates of authenticity. The archival artwork has been printed on a heavy 290gsm natural white print making paper made from 90% bamboo fibres and 10% cotton.
The original piece is acrylic on maple panel, 65” x 48”.
Available hand-framed in maple with archival mat and glass by Vermont's Joel Taplin of Taplin MFG. Framed artwork is archivally matted and hung with UV-protective glass. The hand-made frames are made from locally-milled wood with inlaid splines in each corner for added strength. Please allow three weeks for the completion of your custom, hand-made frame.

Meet Amanda Sciullo
I am a 37-year-old painter currently living in Madison, WI. I grew up in DeTour Village located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Lake Huron; a place where there are more bears than people. I moved to the Beaches of North Florida at the beginning of Junior High School and attended a Visual Arts Magnet High School, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, in Jacksonville, FL. I received my GED from Florida Community College, Jacksonville at age 16 and enrolled in foundation courses at Daytona Beach Community College in Palm Coast, FL. I transferred to Maine College of Art after 1 semester and began coursework in my declared major, Painting. At age 18, I transferred to Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA where I was awarded a portfolio scholarship and a graduate studio. I received my degree in 2000 at age 20 graduating with honors, BFA Painting, Magna Cum Laude. I recently returned to School at UW Madison where I was awarded a Graduate Fellowship for one year in the MFA Program. I came to Wisconsin primarily to be able to study Ojibwe Language and to look for opportunities to share my work more widely and ways of contributing more. All my work is about my deep connection to the natural world and the urgency I feel to try to protect it. When human beings have so much impact on their environment all I want to do is impart sensitivity.
