Dispersion I and Dispersion II is a limited edition set of 100 prints by Josie Morway. 100 prints of each drawing, available as a set or individually. Sized to fit a standard 10” x 8” frame, the artwork measures approximately 9” high by 7” wide. The archival prints were created by Tiny Showcase and ship with a certificate of authenticity. The artwork has been printed on a heavy 290gsm natural white paper.
The original pieces are indigo Kobe ink and 24 karat gold leaf.
Available hand-framed in maple with archival mat and glass by Vermont's Joel Taplin of Taplin MFG. Framed artwork is archivally matted and hung with UV-protective glass. The hand-made frames are made from locally-milled wood with inlaid splines in each corner for added strength. Please allow three weeks for the completion of your custom, hand-made frame.

Meet Josie Morway
“Josie Morway is a Massachusetts native, who has recently returned to live and work in Boston. Her large-scale oil paintings show in diverse venues, from pop-up galleries in Juarez, Mexico, to Thinkspace Gallery in LA and StolenSpace Gallery in London. She has also shown in institutions such as Massachusetts' DeCordova Museum, and created murals for private and public projects.
Josie is trained in graphic design and illustration, and has followed in her father's footsteps to work as a traditional sign painter, creating hand-lettered works in paint and gold leaf around the country. A self-taught painter, she incorporates her passion for lettering and design into her work.
Josie uses wildlife imagery combined with patterns and abstractions from traditional arts – including sign painting, fashion, and ceramics – to explore the intersections of, and tensions between, the wild and the domestic. She is currently working with imagery of copper, gold and rare earth mining paired with her wildlife subjects. Using the striking colors and patterns that appear both in nature and as a result of the toxic processes of mining and other human endeavors, her paintings play with ideas of abundance vs. scarcity, perceptions of beauty and destruction, and what mankind projects upon and takes from nature." -From Urban Art Commission
