Literary Witches: Octavia E. Butler & Mary Shelley is a limited edition set of archival prints by Katy Horan. Both prints measures 6 inches wide by 8 inches tall and the artwork measures 5 inches wide by 7 inches tall. An edition of 100 of each painting was created by Tiny Showcase and ship with a certificate of authenticity. The artwork has been printed on a heavy 290gsm natural white paper.

The original gouache paintings were created for the book Literary Witches: A Celebration of Magical Women Writers written by Taisia Kitaiskaia and illustrated by Katy Horan.

Available hand-framed in maple with archival mat and glass by Vermont's Joel Taplin of Taplin MFG. Framed artwork is archivally matted and hung with UV-protective glass. The hand-made frames are made from locally-milled wood with inlaid splines in each corner for added strength.  Please allow three weeks for the completion of your custom, hand-made frame.

Meet Katy Horan

Katy Horan is an illustrator and fine artist with a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design (2003). Her work has exhibited throughout the United States and in Canada. It has been published in a number of books including Fantagraphic's Beasts! and The Exquisite Book (Chronicle Books) and Dark Inspiration II (Victionary), as well as in numerous publications such as Juxtapoz Magazine and New American Paintings (no. 90 & 120). She has completed two painting residencies at The Vermont Studio Center and was a finalist for the 2015 Hunting Art Prize. She is also the illustrator of Literary Witches: A Celebration of Magical Women Writers, written by Taisia Kitaiskaia and published by Seal Press. Katy is represented by Adriann Ranta Zurhellen at Foundry Literary and Media.

She lives in Austin, Tx with her husband, daughter and two dogs.
